The villa was excellent, with everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. Great location with great views and real privacy. Comfortable beds and lounge, good bathrooms and a well-equipped kitchen. The villa was spotlessly clean on our arrival. The only slight problem was an electrical fault which meant the power keep switching off when we were using appliances. It was easily turned back on at the fuse box, but was slightly annoying.
There is no DVD player in the villa and only Dutch channels on the TV, which might be a consideration for some guests.
The weather was extremely hot, but the air-conditioning meant that we were very comfortable. We really appreciated the shaded terrace with its' comfortable furniture and ceiling fan. The pool area was perfect.
Having a shady place for the car was also helpful in the heat.
We visited Granada, Malaga, Torre del Mar, Nerja and the surrounding white villages. We found Competa particularly charming and discovered several good restaurants there. Be careful driving into the villages as they have extremely narrow, steep roads, with no warning of what's ahead. We soon learned to park at the bottom of each village and walk up instead. If you hire a car try and get something with bit of power, as a stay at this lovely villa involves a lot of driving along steep, winding roads if you want to get out and about.
